30 Hour Day is a web-based telethon designed to raise money for local Portland Charities. 30 hour day is a project developed by Cami Kaos of Strange Love Live and Rick Turoczy of Silicon Florist. The concept? Livestream a variety of entertainment for 30 hours straight in an effort to raise money for charities . Join them July 2 and 3 for entertainment, interviews, and interesting goings on—while helping some very worthwhile causes. All from the cozy warmth of your own Web browser or LIVE from the Square.

7/9Dairy Farmers of Oregon: Ice Cream Relay| 12:00pm - 1:00pm
A summer celebration of all things ice cream! Portland chefs will compete against each other to create the ultimate ice cream. The recipes will reflect the theme of “What Summer Tastea Like in Oregon” The chefs and their team will use old fashioned hand-cranked ice cream machines. There will be a race to ice cream freezing as well as a taste test by a panel of ice cream makers and celebrity judges. The public is invited to watch the action and cheer on their favorite chefs while enjoying samples of ice cream from a variety of Oregon ice cream makers.

In the second annual 'Sax in the City,' Horns-A-Plenty will perform a variety of fun jazz and rock-n-roll music. They will expose Portland to the coolness of lots of different kinds of saxophones on a hot summer day.
